Cage Fighting Championship is proud to announce their second Queensland event, CFC 11 October 9th 2009 at the Southport Sharks Club, Gold Coast. The night will be headlined with 2 World Title fights and feature some of the Australia’s best fighters.
The Dual Main event of the evening: 2 World Title Fights. The first a bantam weight title: Professional big wave surfer Sydney’s Richie Vas will be looking to continue his undefeated streak in his quest to win the bantam weight title against Brazilian Gustavo Falciroli, Faciroli who now calls Perth home has been honing his ability with wins over top Japanese Shooto opponents. The second, current CFC Welterweight champion Brian Ebersole will defend his title for the first time, facing Newcastle’s Justin Murray who held the Welterweight titles in Warriors Realm and XFC, its the rage inside the cage.

Mick Mortimer from Integrated/Fairtex MMA in Brisbane defeated Shinichi Okada from 5 Rings Dojo in the 3rd round via rear naked choke. Mick almost finished the fight in the first and second via submission attempts but Shinichi refused to tap and escaped until the 3rd round where Micks continuous pressure paid off.
