Kyle “KO” Noke grew up in the remote outback town of Dubbo (NSW). He was heavily involved in traditional Aussie sports like Rugby League football and like most kids in tough outback Australia, plenty of street fighting with the other local lads of the area when things got a little too boring. Little by little Kyle’s mischief started to get him in trouble so his mum, who is his number 1 supporter, grabbed him by the ear and moved to the Sunshine Coast in the hope of a more productive environment for her baby boy.

Shortly after relocating to the Sunshine Coast Kyle met former Pancrase Australia Champion and founder of Integrated Martial Arts Mick Green and his big brother Tony, a former Mr. Southern Hemisphere Champion (bodybuilding). Kyle started to train with the Green brothers at their gym and proved to be a natural fighter, tough as nails with a spirit that was just unbreakable.
Sensing that Kyle had the potential to be something special the Green boys started to take him to train, wrestle and spar with Australia’s best. He trained with the likes of former RINGS Japan superstar and UFC veteran Chris Haseman and also met the man who remains his trainer, good mate and co-worker in Dan Higgins. Higgins, the former Australian MMA champion and KOTC and X1 USA standout took the rough around the edges Kyle, and Kyle then made successful MMA debut only a few months after in November 2002.

After dominating the Australasian welterweight scene Noke then made international debut soundly defeating US grappling sensation Jimmy Raborn of the highly respected Greg Jackson fight team form Albuquerque NM. On the same card Higgins fought EliteXC superstar Joey Villasenor. The Australian boys with their amazing ability and friendly demeanour immediately gained the respect of Jackson and his charges and have remained to date affiliates of Greg’s team. They often tour to his US gym to train alongside the world’s best and likewise the boys often come down under to train with the Aussie fighters at IMA.

Kyle’s MMA career to date has seen him defeat Australian MMA champions, kickboxing champions and numerous BJJ black-belts. His career to date has seen him amass many wins by both KO and Submission.

Kyle has also twice fought 5×5 rounds (25mins) which is a testament to his athleticism and fitness.

After holding back his weight and competing as a Welterweight for the first 2 years of his career. Kyle made successful debut as a Middleweight when he defeated Frank Shamrock protege and IFL veteran Brian Ebersole to claim the XFC title in October 2006. Ebsersole’s wrestling acumen, 5 MMA titles in USA and Mexico and 50 fight experience proved to be no match for the Aussie fighter. Who dedicated the win to his close friend, former training partner and employer Steve “The Crocodile Hunter” Irwin who tragically passed away only 1 month earlier. Alongside Coach Dan Higgins, Kyle acted as personal bodyguard for the late Australian icon Steve Irwin, his wife and young children.

Now training as a professional Kyle fought and won his first International fight on Proelite’s Elite XC event in the USA,  Kyle now balances his training between Integrated MMA in Australia and Greg Jacksons gym in New Mexico and was a member of  The Ultimate Fighter 11 Cast. After winning impressively on the Ultimate Fighter Finale event keep an eye out for our Aussie boy Kyle Noke as he makes his run for recognition in the UFC.
