Tony was was born in Brisbane, Australia. He was raised in a loving family, the middle child of 3 children. As a young boy he was  very quiet kid and kept to himself drawing in his sketch pad, day dreaming constantly. Tony started playing sports such as soccer with his school mates, it was jocks vs everyone else, and Tony was always one of the ‘everyone elses’. Because of this he’s always had a soft spot for the quiet underdog and loves to go into his fights that way.

Soccer lead to playing rugby league, then rugby union, and eventually he wound up taking a self defence classes for a year.  He  had some brief encounters with ju-jitsu and began his search for a bjj gym in Brisbane. Thats how he found Integrated Martial Arts in 2007. Even after a successful first year in MMA Tony is still the same quiet fella and it often shocks some people that only know him outside of the gym when they hear he fights MMA. But Tony says thats part of the beauty of the sport is that you dont need to be a ‘jock’ to do it!
