June 24, 2010 – Hong Kong’s second professional mixed martial arts event, Legend II at HITEC’s Star Hall, began with fireworks and ended with fireworks with the 1,500-strong crowd roaring their approval as Australian-Chinese hero Adrian ‘The Hunter’ Pang triumphed over Korea’s Yu Woo Sung to take the first Legend FC Asia Pacific MMA Title.

Pang, who had drawn on his Hong Kong debut at Legend I in January, could smell victory early despite MMA specialist Yu having been unbeaten for four years. The match went the full three rounds, after a tough first round which saw Pang held down by his physicaly strong opponent. The battle was intense,  in the second round before THE HUNTER found a chink in his opponents muscle bound armour badly hurting him with a knee to the body. Adrian and his corner saw his opponents reaction to the knee and launched an assault of strikes targeting the body. Coming close to finnishing his opponent on a few occasions Adrian admited that in his weakend state due to a rescent relapse of Malaria, he couldnt quite follow up enough to get the TKO victory in what was an extremely excitng fight.

Adrian Pang was declared Asia Pacific Lightweight Champion and fireworks rained down on the stage. At times Adrian had to be physicaly supported but wouldnt let his new fans down as he signed autographs and posed for photos with the crowd for probably an hour after the fight.

In other Integrated MMA action, it was an emotional win for young professional MMA athlete Tony Rossini who forced a tap-out from China’s Zhang Lipeng, two minutes and 56 seconds into their opening round.

Integrated MMA Welterweight Matt Cain was defeated by his opponent Bae after three rounds.  Bae and Cain both competed in Legend I in January, but had never met in the ring until today.  Bae asserted his physical strength early and the match was very competitive until Matt badly broke his right hand on his opponents head early in the fight.  Many fighters would have not answered the bell but Cain valliantly fought rounds 2 and 3 as best he could before losing by decision.

Kyle Noke Integrated MMA/Jacksons

June 19th in Las Vegas saw Integrated MMA/Jacksons fighter Kyle Noke display the form that saw him  as an early favorite on Ultimate Fighter 11 as he scored a dominating second round TKO of semifinalist Josh Bryant on the TUF 11 Finale event.

Kyle  impressively took control of the first round using his arsenal of punches and powerful kicks to the body and legs of Bryant. In the second round  the Oklahoma native Bryant recieved more of the same as Noke moved fluently and adventually dropping him to the mat with a right punch to the head and front kick to the stomach, Kyle followed Bryant to the ground and made Australia proud with a barrage of  ground and pound  forcing the referee to halt the bout at 3:12 of the second round.

With the win Kyle moves to 17-4-1. We look forward to welcoming Kyle home and finding out when he will be fighting in the UFC in the future.

Legend Fighting Championship 2: PANG, CAIN, ROSSINI.

Integrated MMA/Fairtex took a clean sweep at Rize FC 5 in Brisbane last night. All 3 fighters stopped their opponents due to strikes and made their team and supporters proud.

Congratulations to Tim Radley who in his debut fight caught his opponents first kick and delivered a beautiful straight right that KO’d his opponent at the 9 sec mark of round 1..

Nate “BullRush”Thompson was next to do his thing and in a hard fought battle brought about a second round TKO due to a hailstorm of unanswered  punches and elbows from mount.

The main event of the evening saw Brisbanes local boy Mick Mortimer fight former Shooto Champion Masahiro Oishi for the 60kg Rize FC Title. Round 1 saw Oishi using his awesome arsenal of grappling skills taking the young Aussie fighters back and moving to a good armbar attempt. However Mortimer showed great calmness weathering the storm with good grappling and impressive submission defence of his own. As round 2 began Mortimer found confidence in Oishi’s unsuccesful submission attempts and began to gain the upperhand with great takedown defence and punishing striking. As the round wore on Australias 60kg Champion landed combination after combination of punches and elbows that opened cuts in his Japanese opponents head. After a brief doctors check of Oishi, Mortimer opened the final exchange of the night with a punishing punch elbow combination bringing about a verbal submission from Oishi. Mick Mortimer was awarded the Rize FC Bantamweight Title much to the delight of his large group of supporters.

Integrated MMA would like to thank Tapout and Fairtex for personally sponsoring Mick and also valued Team Sponsors ASN, MMA Sports Mag and All Type Cabinets.
