“The Hunter” Pang Outstrikes Nam In Legend FC 4 Showdown

Adrian Pang lands a crushing right hand on Nam
This rematch was booked as a championship bout with Pang’s Legend FC lightweight belt on the line, however it became a non-title affair when Nam failed to make weight on Wednesday after numerous attempts. On the pairs first showdown 12 months ago on Legend FC 1 Nam fought the fight 3kg over the limit after failing to make weight. Legend FC has a very generous 0.5kg allowance so with Nam final attempt coming in at 70.8 kg the former welterweight champions ability to fight at lightweight must be in question.
Feeling each other out with a tense first few minutes, Nam landed a couple of hard inside low kicks and left hands on the champion. Pang returned fire as the match progressed, hurt Nam with left and right hooks of his own opening a deep gash under Nam’s left eyebrow which would affect the rest of the fight. Both bleeding, Pang and Nam stood toe-to-toe throughout the fight with each man swinging for the fences and taking his turn landing haymakers. Pang targeted the cut above Nam’s left eye and succeeded in forcing the ringside doctor to check on his opponent late in the round. Pang continued with a damaging left hook up elbow combination which swelled the face of the South Korean.
The fight’s pace slowed in the last stanza with both men giving the respect due to such aggressive, powerful striking. Hard punching combinations from both men continued as they picked their shots down the line. In the end, two judges saw the match 29-28 in Pang’s favor, while the dissenting judge gave the same score for Nam.
