The highly anticipated Matt Cain V Luke Picklum showdown resulted in a split draw which has brought about a little controversy. Popular opinion has Matt regarded as the dominant fighter. After surviving and early rear choke attempt from Picklum Matt Cain dominated the second and third round. Luke Picklum is a tough and highly regarded opponent and he put up a great fight after a number of years out of the cage.

Matt is very keen to put the matter to rest in what will be a well worthy rematch fight. If agreed to by Picklum’s team the fight may take place on the July 11th on CFC’s debut event on the Gold Coast in QLD.

Also it was announced that IMA/Fairtex Champion Adrian Pang will get his title shot at Rob Hill. What an awesome match for the first CFC event in Queensland.

Matt and IMA would like to thank CFC, our supporters and sponsors Fairtex, MMA Sports Magazine, MMA Factory.com.au, All Type Cabinets and Assasinz.

Cage Fighting Championship is proud to announce C.F.C 8, the first 8 man Grand Prix tournament at the Big Top, this event will take place May 22nd at the Big Top Stadium Luna Park. Once again Sydney comes alive with the best MMA fighting action with an 8 man main event featuring the best Australian and international light heavy weights as they fight their way toward the final in August for the Light Heavyweight Title.

Also fighting on the event is Integrated MMA/Fairtex Champion Welterweight Matt “ROLLING BEAR” Cain. Matt will be fighting Australian MMA veteran Luke Piclum who comes back to the cage after a long break to again wage war on an IMA fighter. Luke Piclum’s last fight in Australia was against Integrated Martial Arts Founder Mick Green in a fight that saw both men pushed to their limit resulting in a draw. With alot of history, pride and most likely a title shot for the winner on the line this promises to be an awesome fight.
